Hans Fitz

Johannes Theodor August Fitz (* 21st December 1891 in Neustadt an der Orla , † 28. October 1972 in Krailling in Munich ) was a German playwright , actor and director .

Life

Hans Fitz began his film career in the mid-1930s at UFA and played numerous radio play roles on the radio. He was also a virtuoso with the guitar . In 1938 he also published Der Loisl - A cheerful novel from Bavaria in R. Piper & Co. Verlag, Munich.

After the Second World War , Hans Fitz was first seen in films and later on television. In addition to his work as an actor, Fitz also wrote some theater and television pieces in Bavarian dialect and radio plays. Among other things, he worked as a director at the State Theater on Gärtnerplatz in Munich. In 1970 he was awarded the Bavarian Poet Thaler by the Munich tower writers for his services to Bavarian culture . Fitz died in 1972 and found his final resting place in the cemetery in Krailling near Munich.

Hans Fitz was the founder of the Munich artist family Fitz . He was the father of Walter , Ayo, Gerd and Veronika Fitz . In the Munich district of Forstenried, the Hans-Fitz-Weg is named after him.
