The Huish Park is a football stadium in Yeovil , England . It is the sporting home of Yeovil Town football club and replaced the previous venue The Huish , where the club was based from 1928 to 1990.

history

The stadium is owned by the club and is on the western outskirts of Yeovil. Huish Park currently offers 9,665 seats, 5,212 of which are seats. The cost of building the four-grandstand venue was around £ 3.5 million . The main stand Tamburino Stand and the opposite side of the Screwfix Community Stand are covered and equipped with seats. The club initials YTFC are shown between the green seats on both tiers with white plastic seats. The biggest difference between the longitudinal stands are the VIP boxes behind the rows of seats in the Cowlin Stand as well as the players' tunnel and the coaching benches . The south stand of Thatcher's Gold Stand is similar in shape and height . The only uncovered rank, Copse Road End , is the home of the guest fans. Guests will also find seating at the southern end of the main stand. The three covered tiers have wind protection walls made of Plexiglas on the sides .

Other use

The England U18 national football team met the Welsh U18 team on May 22, 1991. On March 27, 2007 in Yeovil, the U18 against the U18 selection of the Netherlands. The English U16 team also competed against the U16 from Wales in Huish Park.

Visitor record and average attendance

The highest number of visitors came on April 25, 2008. The game of Football League One between Yeovil Town and Leeds United saw 9,527 spectators. The overall most popular game of Yeovil Town took place on January 29, 1949 in old Huish . The FA Cup game of the 4th round against Sunderland was watched by 16,318 spectators.
