The Vale Park is a football stadium in the English town of Burslem , Stoke-on-Trent . It is the home of the Port Vale football club . The facility was opened in 1950 and today offers 19,052 seats.

history

Port Vale and AFC Newport County met for the opening of the sports facility, which was inaugurated on August 24, 1950 . In front of 30,042 spectators, the home side achieved a 1-0 win over Newport County. Vale Park experienced the greatest crowds on February 20, 1960, when 49,768 spectators attended the game in the 1959/60 FA Cup against Aston Villa . The visitor record in the modern seating stadium was set on August 31, 2013 with 12,601 when the Wolverhampton Wanderers ( Football League One 2013/14 ) were guests in Vale Park. Between 2015 and 2018, between 4,500 and 5,000 spectators attended Port Vale's home games.

The sports facility was also occasionally used for concerts. Ozzy Osbourne performed in Vale Park on August 1, 1981 .
