Hundheim is a village in the Hunsrück , at the same time a district and district of the community -free municipality Morbach in the district of Bernkastel-Wittlich in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The village center of Hundheim is about one kilometer from the Hunsrückhöhenstrasse between Morbach and the Belginum archeology park . Two kilometers southeast of the village is Baldenau Castle , one of the few moated castles in the Hunsrück.

history

Hundheim is first mentioned in a document in 1281. By pledging Hundheim belonged to the later Electorate of Trier Baldenau.
