IC 1451 is a spiral galaxy with extensive star formation regions of the Hubble type Sc in the constellation Aquarius on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 411 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 60,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky is the galaxy NGC 7371 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on September 13, 1892 .
