IC 3684 is a lenticular dwarf galaxy of the Hubble type S0 / a in the constellation Virgo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 50 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 15,000 light years in diameter. It is listed as a member of the Virgo galaxy cluster under catalog number VVC 1921 .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4621 , IC 809 , IC 3670 , IC 3672 .
The object was discovered by Royal Harwood Frost on May 10, 1904 .
