IC 3665 is an irregular dwarf galaxy from the Hubble type in the constellation Virgo north of the ecliptic . It is an estimated 53 million light years away from the Milky Way , has a diameter of about 15,000 ly and is listed under catalog number VVC 1890 as part of the Virgo galaxy cluster .
The galaxies NGC 4621 , NGC 4638 , IC 809 , IC 3653 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by Royal Harwood Frost on May 10, 1904 .
