IC 5179 = IC 5183 = IC 5184 is an active spiral galaxy with extensive star formation areas of the Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Crane in the southern sky . It is an estimated 154 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 110,000 light years in diameter.
