IC 5199 is a spiral galaxy with extensive star formation areas of the Hubble type Sb in the constellation Crane in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 229 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 100,000 ly.
In the same area of ​​the sky is the galaxy IC 5186 .

The property was discovered by DeLisle Stewart in 1899 .
