IC 5205 is a merging spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sc in the constellation Toucan in the southern sky . The galaxies IC 5197 , IC 5207 , IC 5213 , IC 5218 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by Royal Harwood Frost on July 16, 1904 .
