IC 5213 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sc in the constellation Toucan on southern sky . It is an estimated 553 million light-years from the Milky Way and about 100,000 light-years across.
The galaxies NGC 7278 , IC 5205 , IC 5207 and IC 5218 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by Royal Harwood Frost on July 16, 1904 .
