The list of ISO-3166-2 codes for Belgium contains the codes for the three Belgian regions and ten provinces.

The codes consist of two parts separated by a hyphen. The first part gives the country code according to ISO 3166-1 (for Belgium BE), the second the code for the region or province.

The current country code was last updated in Newsletter II-3 of December 13, 2011 ( PDF ).

The ISO 3166-2 codes for Belgium describe five provinces in Flanders and five provinces in Wallonia . The three-letter code contains the region (V / W) first and then the name of the province. Since Brussels is an independent region, it has its own 3-letter code.
