If I Can't is thematically assigned to gangsta rap . In it 50 Cent praises himself and his superiority, especially with the statement of the chorus: “If I can't do it, then it can't be done.” In the stanzas he raps mostly about weapons, violence, crime and wealth.

At the beginning the viewer is greeted by a speaker with the words “Welcome to the 50 Cent Show”. The video itself is largely composed of various concert scenes from 50 Cent on tour as well as backstage recordings. The rappers Tony Yayo , Lloyd Banks and Young Buck (the other former members of the G Unit ) as well as Snoop Dogg , Eminem and Dr. Dre can be seen in the video. The concept of the music video is comparable to the video for Eminem's song Sing for the Moment, also released in 2003 .

Chart successes
If I Can't entered the German charts at number 34 on March 29, 2004, and in the following weeks it was 50 and 46. Overall, the song stayed in the top 100 for nine weeks. The single was most successful in the United Kingdom, where it finished 10th. The song also reached the top 20 in the Netherlands, Switzerland and Italy.
