Best of 50 Cent is a greatest hits album by the American rapper 50 Cent . It was released on March 31, 2017 on the labels Shady Records , Aftermath Entertainment and Interscope Records .

In 2002, 50 Cent signed a label deal with Interscope Records for five albums, the last of which would be a greatest hits album. After his fourth studio album Before I Self Destruct was released in 2009, the rapper left the label and released his fifth studio album Animal Ambition in 2014 on his own label G-Unit Records . In February 2017, Universal Music , which owns Interscope Records, finally announced the outstanding best-of album for March 31, 2017.

The songs selected for the album are exclusively previously released singles of 50 Cent. Most of them come from the rapper's first four solo albums, which were released via Shady Records, Aftermath Entertainment and Interscope Records. Most of the four songs were taken from Curtis ' third album , while three tracks each were taken from 50 Cent's first two albums Get Rich or Die Tryin' and The Massacre . One track was selected from the fourth album Before I Self Destruct . It also includes three tracks from the soundtrack album Get Rich or Die Tryin ' . The songs Outta Control (Remix) , Get Up and I Get It In were not previously released on any album. As a bonus song, the song How to Rob is also included, which comes from the soundtrack to the film In Too Deep .

Four songs on the album were produced by music producer Dr. Dre produced while Scott Storch created the instrumentals for three songs. Mr. Porter , Mike Elizondo and C. Styles were involved in two productions each . Other music comes from Timbaland , Hi-Tek , DJ Khalil , Danja , Polow da Don , the Trackmasters , Dirty Swift, Bang Out, B-Money "B $", Sire, Apex and Ty Fyffe.

Best of 50 Cent entered the US album charts at number 135 on April 22, 2017 and stayed in the top 200 for a total of nine weeks. In September 2018, it also reached number 95 in the British charts.
In 2019 the album received a gold record for more than 100,000 units sold in the UK .
