Igor Valerjewitsch Radulow ( Russian Игорь Валерьевич Радулов ; born August 23, 1982 in Nizhny Tagil , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who was most recently under contract with Severstal Cherepovets in the Continental Hockey League . He is the older brother of Alexander Radulow .
Career
Igor Radulov began his active career in 1998 with the second team of the Torpedo Yaroslavl . In the 2000 NHL Entry Draft , the Chicago Blackhawks had selected him in the third round in 74th place, for which he completed 43 games. Since the Russian could not meet expectations, he was sent to the Norfolk Admirals in the American Hockey League . During the 2004/05 season the striker returned to Russia and was signed by HK Spartak Moscow . In the 2006/07 season he was on the ice for Metallurg Novokuznetsk , HK Dmitrov and Vityas Chekhov . At the latter club he stayed until January 2009, before Radulow was signed by Salawat Julajew Ufa . With Ufa he was eliminated in the first playoff round against HK Awangard Omsk after his club had previously won the Bobrow Division .
Between May 2009 and May 2010 he was under contract with HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk , with whom he won the Chernyschow Division and failed in the playoff quarter-finals 2-4 at Ak Bars Kazan . For the 2010/11 season he moved to Severstal Tscherepowez , before Radulow returned to Vitjas Chekhov in January 2011. For this, the attacker played eight KHL games and scored one goal before the Russian signed a two-year contract with Salawat Yulayev Ufa in June 2011. A year later, his contract was dissolved and Radulow moved to HK CSKA Moscow , where he played together with his brother and scored 34 points in 58 games this season. At the end of May 2013 he received a contract with Atlant Mytishchi , for which he played until December 2014, before moving to HK Sochi within the KHL .
