Isleña Airlines ( Isleña de Inversiones SA de CV ) was an airline based in La Ceiba , Honduras . She operated scheduled and charter flights to Miami and destinations in Honduras and the Cayman Islands as a member of TACA Regional Airlines.
history
Isleña Airlines was founded in 1981 by Arturo Alvaro Wood and began operating on March 31, 1981. The first connection was the line from La Ceiba to Roatán . TACA owned 20% of the company.
Due to restructuring measures at Avianca Holdings , the company was renamed Avianca Honduras in 2013 .
