Ismael Rueda Sierra
Ismael Rueda Sierra (born May 11, 1950 in Suaita ) is Archbishop of Bucaramanga .
Life
Ismael Rueda Sierra was ordained a priest on August 22, 1981 . He was incardinated in the clergy of the Girardot diocese in 1988 . Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Buruni and auxiliary bishop in Cartagena on December 20, 2000 .
The Bishop of Girardot , Jorge Ardila Serrano , gave him episcopal ordination on September 9 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Carlos José Ruiseco Vieira , Archbishop of Cartagena , and Flavio Calle Zapata , Bishop of Sonsón-Rionegro .
On June 27, 2003 he was appointed Bishop of Socorro y San Gil . He was appointed Archbishop of Bucaramanga on February 13, 2009 and was introduced to office on May 2 of the same year.
