Itzhak Levy (born May 2, 1982 ) is a former Israeli ice hockey player who was last under contract with HC Bat Yam in the Israeli ice hockey league until 2015 .

Career

Levy began his career at HC Maccabi Amos Lod , with whom he became Israeli champion in 2001 . In 2002 he moved to league rivals HC Bat Yam . With the exception of the seasons 2006/07, when he played in the Serbian league with HK Beostar , and 2007/08, when he won the championship title with Nice Hockey Côte d'Azur in the French Division 2 , Levy played until his retirement in 2015 for the club from the Mediterranean city.

International

In the junior division Levy played at the U18 World Championships in 1999 and 2000 , where each played in the European Division II.

For the men's national team , Levy took part in Division I at the 2006 World Cup , in Division II at the 2001 , 2002 , 2003 , 2004 , 2005 , 2007 , 2008 , 2009 , 2010 , 2012 , 2013 , 2014 and 2015 World Championships , as he led the Israelis for the first time as team captain on the ice, as well as in Division III at the 2011 World Cup.
