Jérôme Policand

Jérôme Policand (born October 1, 1964 in Grenoble ) is a French racing driver .

Career in motorsport

Jérôme Policand began his career in Formula Ford in 1985 and drove in this racing formula for three years in the French championship. In 1988 he switched to the French Formula 3 Championship , where his best placement in the final ranking was seventh in 1990 (overall winner Éric Hélary ). After several years in various Formula 3000 championships , the company entered sports car racing in 1996.

In the sports car, he celebrated four overall victories and was on the podium of the top three a total of 10 times. There were also three class wins. He celebrated his first victory together with Didier Cottaz at the 4-hour race at Le Mans in 1997 and at the 2-hour race at Jarama in the same year. This was followed by victories in the 1998 2.30-hour Kyalami race - with Gary Formato on a Riley & Scott Mk III - and in a championship run in the French GT Championship in 2005.

His best result at the 24 Hours of Le Mans was fourth place in 1997 .
