Jewish cemetery (Gürzenich)

The Jewish cemetery is located on Schillingsstrasse on the corner of Trierbachweg in Gürzenich , a district of Düren in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The cemetery was occupied from 1842 to 1936. Today there are still 35 tombstones ( Mazewot ). On the street side the cemetery has a wall with a wrought iron gate. In the front part of the cemetery, which is separated by a paved path, there is a memorial stone of the former community of Gürzenich and a bronze plate of the city of Düren on the right. Eleven tombstones are placed close together on the left and 22 on the right. In the older part of the cemetery there are only two tombstones. On one of them a jug can still be seen as a symbol of the Levites .

The cemetery is registered under No. 6/2 in the list of monuments of the city of Düren.
