The Jewish cemetery Untermaubach is a Jewish cemetery in Untermaubach , a district of the municipality of Kreuzau in Düren ( Nordrhein-Westfalen ). The cemetery is on the edge of the forest in the direction of Bogheim and can be reached via a dirt road.

history

The cemetery was the burial place of the Jewish communities of Untermaubach , which arose from the 18th century. The property of the cemetery has an area of ​​3190 , of which 631 m² are fenced. The time when the cemetery was built is not known.

Today eight grave sites are still recognizable and three standing and one lying gravestones ( Mazewot ) are available.

Desecrations

The cemetery was desecrated in 1971, 1979 and 1993.
