Jürgen Rohweder (born February 12, 1941 ) is a former German soccer player . The defender played from 1961 to 1972 in the Oberliga Nord , Regionalliga Nord , Regionalliga Südwest , Fußball-Bundesliga and Regionalliga Süd at the clubs VfR Neumünster , Holstein Kiel , Saar 05 Saarbrücken , Borussia Neunkirchen and SV Darmstadt 98 .

Career

Rohweder was signed on July 1, 1960 by VfR Neumünster . He played from 1961 to 1964 with VfR Neumünster in the Oberliga Nord and Regionalliga Nord until he moved to league rivals Holstein Kiel . With the purple and white lawn athletes from Neumünster, he made his debut on March 19, 1961 in a 3-0 away defeat at VfL Osnabrück as a left wing runner in the then practiced World Cup system in the Oberliga Nord. In the last season of the regional first class of the league, 1962/63, he started badly with the VfR with 0: 8 opening points. After 30 rounds of games he landed fourth with Neumünster with 35:25 points; Rohweder had played 29 league games with one goal at the side of Siegfried Agurew , Peter Kaack and Günter Mess . Overall, he is led with 60 league appearances and one goal in the Oberliga Nord. In the first year of the second-rate regional league under the newly introduced Bundesliga, 1963/64, he took part with Neumünster in the Intertoto Cup against opponents SK Rapid Wien, PSV Eindhoven and Djurgardens IF. In the Regionalliga he came to Neumünster on 29 games in which he scored a goal; but only the 10th place was occupied. For the 1964/65 season he accepted the offer from Holstein Kiel and switched to the “Storks”.

With Kiel he played two more seasons in the northern season. In his first year in Kiel he won the championship in the north with his new team. In the BL promotion round, the arguments with the later promoted Borussia Mönchengladbach stood out. Kiel lost the away game on the Bökelberg in front of 35,000 spectators in the 92nd minute through a goal from Egon Milder with 0-1 goals. The north champions won the home game against the team of coach Hennes Weisweiler on June 19 with 4-2 goals. Kiel competed in the attack with Gerd Koll , Franz-Josef Hönig , Gerd Saborowski , Rohweder and Manfred Podlich . Overall, he came in Kiel - in the second year, 1965/66, he finished third with Kiel - to another 36 regional league games and two more goals.

He then switched to the south-west relay for SV Saar 05 Saarbrücken . After a year at Saar 05, Rohweder moved on to Borussia Neunkirchen . Neunkirchen was just promoted to the Bundesliga . Under coach Zeljko Cajkovski completed 22 games in the 1967/68 season , Neunkirchen could not prevent relegation as the penultimate but not. He made his debut in the Bundesliga on September 13, 1967 in a 2-0 away defeat at Hannover 96. He represented the injured Erich Leist as a stopper. He celebrated his first Bundesliga success on September 30th with a 3-2 home win against Karlsruher SC. He was also active when the Saarlanders came under the wheels on November 4, 1967 with 0:10 goals at Borussia Mönchengladbach. On the 34th round match day, May 25, 1968, he said goodbye to Neunkirchen with a 1: 2 away defeat from the Bundesliga. Rohweder left Saarland after the year and played for SV Darmstadt 98 in the Regionalliga Süd until 1972 .

He was part of the regular cast of the “lilies” from the stadium at Böllenfalltor . In his second year, 1969/70, he was relegated to the amateur camp with the Hessians, but immediately celebrated championship and return to the Regionalliga Süd in 1970/71 under player-coach Wolfgang Solz . Under the new coach Udo Klug and at the side of players like Hans Lindemann , Edwin Westenberger , Rudolf Koch and Willi Wagner , he made 17 league appearances again in 1971/72 and ended his high-class playing career in the summer of 1972 after a total of 76 regional league appearances with 17 goals for Darmstadt .

Then he went back to the amateur camp and moved to SV Wiesbaden .
