Jürgen Zartmann

Jürgen Zartmann (born January 28, 1941 in Darmstadt ) is a German actor .

Life

Zartmann grew up in Leipzig. After studying acting at the Leipzig Theater Academy , Zartmann first played theater at the Landestheater in Halle , at the State Theater in Schwerin and at the National Theater in Weimar from 1963 , when he was discovered for television in the GDR at the end of the 1960s . Here he played his first major leading role, that of the communist Artur Becker , in the film adaptation of the same name from 1971 and then moved to the German TV Broadcasting Company (DFF).

Zartmann became known primarily through television films and series, for example as a swarm of girls at Angelika Waller's side in the romance Rotfuchs (1973) or in the role of the boatswain in the series Zur See (1977). This was followed by roles such as the preppy prince in The Dancing Shoes or the TV series Archive of Death (1980) and Front Without Mercy (1984), where he embodied the heroic figure and enjoyed enormous popularity. For some time, Zartmann was First Lieutenant Manfred Bergmann on the investigative team in the crime series Polizeiruf 110 . Apart from his television work, he also took part in some DEFA feature films, such as in 1976 in Nelken in Aspik . He later played the navigator / radio operator of an IL-62 of Interflug in the series meeting airport .

Zartmann started his all-German acting career with synchronized activities and minor supporting roles until he was offered the role of Christoph von Anstetten in the ARD early evening series Verbotene Liebe , which he played from 1995 to 2000. Zartmann has been on the road since 2008 with his solo program “Der Feuermann”, directed by Holger Böhme .

Zartmann lives in Stahnsdorf and has a second marriage. He has three children from his first marriage.
