Joshua Thomas "JT" Brown (born July 2, 1990 in Burnsville , Minnesota ) is an American ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Minnesota Wild in the National Hockey League since July 2018 and also for their farm team, the Iowa Wild , in the American Hockey League is used.

JT Brown began his career as a hockey player with the Waterloo Black Hawks, for which he was active in the junior league United States Hockey League from 2008 to 2010 . From 2010 to 2012 he attended the University of Minnesota Duluth , for whose ice hockey team he played parallel in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association . In 2011, he won the NCAA championship with his university team . He himself was elected to the WCHA's all-rookie team in the same year. In 2012 he was honored with the election to the first All-Star-Team of the WCHA and the second All-American-Team of the NCAA. In March 2012, the winger received a free agent contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning , for which he made his National Hockey League debut towards the end of the 2011/12 season . He prepared a goal in five games.

At the beginning of the 2013/14 season Brown could not prevail in the NHL squad and was used from September in the AHL farm team Syracuse Crunch , but returned to the NHL squad in November of the same year.

When Brown was supposed to be sent to the AHL via the waiver in January 2018 , he was instead signed by the Anaheim Ducks . In July 2018, Brown signed a two-year free agent contract with the Minnesota Wild .

International

For the USA Brown took part in the 2012 World Cup.
