Jakobskirche (Hastrungsfeld)

The church in Hastrungsfeld was a wooden fortified church that was completely destroyed by fire. In their place a small Romanesque church was built at the level of the village on the northeast slope of the Hörselberg . This hall church with choir tower was later rebuilt. Parts of the first construction phase have been preserved in the choir and nave . On the south side of the nave there is a Romanesque arched window , on the north side a partially walled Gothic ogival door. Later rectangular windows were broken into the masonry. The nave is spanned with a flat ceiling that is bevelled on the sides. The barrel-vaulted chancel opens behind the round-arched triumphal arch with Romanesque fighters . On the altar is a small crucifix from the 18th century. There is a Gothic choir at the north side tabernacle . The baroque pulpit stands on a support . The fields of its parapet are subdivided with columns . The wooden baptismal font also dates from the 17th century.
There is a single-storey gallery on the north and south wall, while the gallery is two-storey on the west wall. The organ is located on the upper gallery . It has 8 stops , divided into a manual and a pedal , and was built in the 19th century by an unknown organ builder . The church was last renovated in the 1980s.
