James Albert Duffy
James Albert Duffy (born September 13, 1873 in Saint Paul , Minnesota , USA , † February 12, 1968 in Grand Island , Nebraska ) was Bishop of Grand Island .
Life
James Albert Duffy received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Saint Paul on May 27, 1899 .
On January 27, 1913, Pope Pius X appointed him Bishop of Kearney (later the Diocese of Grand Island). The Archbishop of Dubuque , James John Keane , donated him episcopal ordination on April 16 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Omaha , Richard Scannell , and the Bishop of Cheyenne , Patrick Aloysius Alphonsus McGovern .
On June 5, 1931, James Albert Duffy resigned as Bishop of Grand Island and was named Titular Bishop of Silandus .
