Jana Jacková , (born August 6, 1982 in Frýdek-Místek ) is a Czech chess master .

Career

Jacková received the title of Women's Grand Master (WGM) in 2001 and the title of International Master (IM) in 2004 .

Jacková won or occupied top places in several tournaments: 1st place in the U12 championship of the Czech Republic (girls) (1993), 1st place in the U14 championship of the Czech Republic (girls) (1995) and 2nd place in the Stork Young Masters tournament (2001). She won the silver medal at the U10 European Championship (girls) in Rimavská Sobota in 1992 and again the silver medal at the U20 World Championship (girls) in Yerevan (1999).

Jacková won the Czech women's individual championship in 1998, once she was second, once third.

With her best Elo rating of 2423 in May 2007, Jacková was ranked 41st in the FIDE world rankings for women and first in the Czech women's rankings. She ended her professional chess career in December 2009. Since Jacková has not played an Elo-rated game since then, she is listed as inactive by FIDE.

National team

For the Czech Republic she played six times in the women's chess Olympiad : 1998 to 2008 , where she achieved 39.5 points from 63 games. In addition, she took part in the women's team championship in 2007 and five women's team championships between 1997 and 2009, in 1997 she achieved the best individual result of all reserve players.

In the Czech Extraliga Jacková played in the 1999/2000 season for TJ Nová Huť Ostrava , in the 2000/01 season for SC A64 Lázně Slatinice , from 2001 to 2003 for the ŠK Infinity Pardubice , in the 2004/05 season for the ŠK Slavoj Ostrava , from 2005 to 2007 for TJ TŽ Třinec , from 2007 to 2009 for BŠŠ Frýdek-Místek and in the 2009/10 season for ŠK Duras BVK - Královo Pole . In the German women's league she played from 1997 to 2009 for the Dresdner SC (from 2006 USV TU Dresden ) and became champions with them in 2000 , 2002 and 2006 . In the British Four Nations Chess League Jacková played in the 2004/05 season for the North West Eagles , in the 2005/06 season for Slough .

Jacková defeated the former world chess champion Anatoli Karpov . The ChessBase news portal even ran the headline: “Jackova messed up Anatoly Karpov terribly”. The Czech daily Dnes , the largest circulation in the Czech Republic, wrote that this was Karpov's worst defeat in 50 years:
