Jannulis Tembridis
Jannulis Tembridis ( Greek Γιαννούλης Τεμπρίδης ; * December 8, 1955 in Radebeul ) is a German sculptor and painter with Greek roots.
Life
Tembridis was born and raised in the former GDR as a child of Greek emigrants (see also Markos children and their adult companions) . He attended school in Dresden and Berlin (from 1966) and graduated from EOS Max-Planck (now Max-Planck-Gymnasium ) in Berlin-Mitte in 1974 . He then studied chemistry at the Humboldt University in Berlin , but dropped out again shortly afterwards to complete a two-year stonemason apprenticeship in Berlin.
From 1980 to 1986 he studied sculpture at the Weissensee School of Art . Since 1986 he has been working as a freelance artist in Berlin and Brandenburg ( Wulkow bei Boossen ). He is a member of the Brandenburg Association of Visual Artists (BVBK).
Tembridis works in granite, marble and sandstone and with ceramic clay and also experiments with other materials and also has an extensive painterly oeuvre.

- 2002: "Mythos Europa", 3rd Prize of the Federal Association of Visual Artists (BBK)
- 2003: 1st prize and execution surcharge for the design "Odysseus Point"
- 2008: Brandenburg Art Prize of the Märkische Oderzeitung in the category "Plastic"
