Jason Hartmann (born March 21, 1981 in Grand Rapids , Michigan ) is an American marathon runner .

Athletic career

In 2005 he came 20th at the World Half Marathon Championships in Edmonton . In 2006 he was third overall in the half marathon competition of the Houston Marathon US runner -up over this distance. He finished 74th at the World Cross Country Championships , and in the fall he came 20th on his debut over the 42.195km distance at the Chicago Marathon .

The following year he was sixth at the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro over 10,000 m and tenth in the US elimination race for the marathon of the Beijing Olympic Games .

In 2009 he celebrated his greatest success to date by winning the Twin Cities Marathon . In 2010, he was the best US American in eighth place in Chicago.

Jason Hartmann is trained by Brad Hudson.

Life

He graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in Education and Sociology .
