Jelena Gennadjewna Dawgul ( Russian Елена Геннадьевна Давгуль ; born October 28, 1983 in Severouralsk in Sverdlovsk Oblast , then Soviet Union ) is a Russian biathlete who competes in both winter and summer on roller skis and in cross-country skiing .

Jelena Dawgul starts for the Sverdlovsk Oblast and started biathlon as a trainer for Saveli Solovyov in 1993. She was third in the cross-country pursuit of the Junior Summer Biathlon World Championships in 2001 in Jambrozowa . At the Biathlon Junior World Championships in 2002 in Ridnaun , she was third in the relay with Tatjana Brjuchanowa and Nadezhda Tschastina , at the European Championships in 2002 in Kontiolahti , she won silver in the junior relay with Ulyana Denissova and Nadezhda Tschastina. In 2004 in Minsk she won the junior relay (Dawgul, Kuzmina , Burdyga ) and also won the individual competition. Dawgul made her debut in the European Cup after her junior years in January 2005 in Mittenwald with sixth place in the individual. After that she started sporadically in this competition series, but only achieved top ten places in December 2005 in Windischgarsten and in March 2008 in Valromey-Retord . At the IBU Summer Cup 2008 she took part in the competition in Otepää and placed second in sprint and pursuit behind Marija Kossinowa . She won the sprint at the IBU Cross Summer Cup 2008 in Chania . Since then she has not competed in international competitions.

Dawgul celebrated her greatest success at the summer biathlon on roller skis. She took part in the 2006 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Ufa and became world champion in the pursuit after finishing sixth in the sprint.

Dawgul graduated from the Yekaterinburg State Technical University in 2006 . In 2004 she was awarded the title of Master of Sports in the International Class . She plays the saxophone in a musical group.
