Jeremy Davies (actor)
Jeremy Davies (born October 8, 1969 in Traverse City , Michigan ) is an American actor .
Life
Davies studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena . He was first seen on television in the early 1990s.
1994 Davies played his first film role in Nell alongside Jodie Foster and Liam Neeson . Davies was best known in 1998 for his supporting role in Saving Private Ryan . Davies then starred in The Million Dollar Hotel by Wim Wenders starring in Lars von Trier's Dogville in ensemble and in Steven Soderbergh's Solaris . To portray a prisoner of war in Rescue Dawn , he lost 15 kilograms.
In the television production Helter Skelter , he played Charles Manson , the leader of the hippie commune that became famous in California as the Manson Family for the murder of Sharon Tate and several other people.
From 2007 to 2009 Davies could be seen as physicist Daniel Faraday in the series Lost . Since 2011 he has played the recurring role of Dickie Bennett in the Justified series . For this, Davies received an Emmy nomination in 2011 as a guest actor in a drama series (Outstanding Guest Actor In A Drama Series) . In 2012 he was nominated again and won.
