Beginnings in Zaragoza

Vallejo started his career in the youth of Real Zaragoza . In the 2014/15 season he played for the first team in the Segunda División when he was in the starting line-up on the first day of the game on 23 August 2014 in a 0-0 game against Recreativo Huelva . Vallejo, who was still eligible to play for the A-youth , developed into a regular player and was used in 30 league games in which he scored a goal. After the team had finished the regular season in 6th place in the table, they met FC Girona and UD Las Palmas in the promotion play-offs , which they had to admit defeat in the final.

At the end of July 2015, Vallejo was signed by Spanish record champions Real Madrid , who provided him with a contract that ran until June 30, 2021. Vallejo continued to play on loan at Real Zaragoza for the 2015/16 season .

Eintracht Frankfurt

For the 2016/17 season , Vallejo was loaned out by Real Madrid to Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt . On August 27, 2016, he made his debut in the 1-0 home win against FC Schalke 04 in the Bundesliga. He scored his first Bundesliga goal in a 2-2 draw against RB Leipzig on May 20, 2017, the 34th matchday of the season. Vallejo completed a total of 25 Bundesliga games for Eintracht.

real Madrid

In the 2017/18 season , Vallejo was in Real Madrid's squad for the first time as a replacement for the emigrated Pepe . In August 2017 he won his first two titles at club level with the UEFA Super Cup and the Supercopa de España - both without a stake . He was also not nominated to the squad that won the Club World Cup in December 2017 . Overall, he was used in twelve competitive games during the season. The most important was the quarter-final second leg of the Champions League against Juventus Turin , which he played through completely, as his teammates Sergio Ramos and Nacho were suspended or injured. Despite the 3-1 defeat, Real Madrid made it to the next round and won the title at the end of the season. In the 2018/19 season , Vallejo made five league appearances (four times from the start) in which he scored one goal.

Via Wolverhampton to Granada

For the 2019/20 season, Vallejo moved to the Premier League for a year on loan to Wolverhampton Wanderers . After he had only made two league appearances and two appearances in the EFL Cup under head coach Nuno Espírito Santo , he was loaned out to Granada CF on January 24, 2020 until the end of the season . There he made 11 league appearances (7 times from the start). During the summer break, the loan was extended for the 2020/21 season.

In the national team

Vallejo was the team captain of the Spanish U19 team that won the 2015 European U19 Championship . In June 2017 he took the Under-21 side at the European U21 Championship in part, came in four games for use, reaching with his team the final, which with 0: 1 against Germany was lost. In 2019 he again took part in the U21 European Championship and played four tournament games as team captain. In the final, Spain met Germany again and this time won 2-1 .
