Jevgenij Sitochin (born April 14, 1959 in Leninsk , Soviet Union ) is an Austrian actor and theater director of Russian origin.

biography

Jevgenij Sitochin studied at the Russian Academy of Theater Arts and the Theater Studio for Movement Improvisation Pushkin Theater Moscow. Until 1991 he played in theaters in Moscow and Leningrad. He then moved to Central Europe, where he later took on Austrian citizenship . He played at the Burgtheater Vienna , Schauspielhaus Zürich , Schauspielhaus Hamburg and at the Maxim-Gorki-Theater , where he worked with directors such as Leander Haussmann , George Tabori , Peter Greenaway and Andreas Kriegenburg . Occasionally Sitochin also staged plays himself.

At the same time, he has played regularly in Austrian and German films since the early 2000s. In television and cinema films such as The Bourne Conspiracy , November Child and Fame , he played smaller and larger roles, which often portrayed Eastern Europeans and occasionally Russians.

He has a son from an earlier relationship with actress Anne Bennent (* 1999).
