Jewhen Napnenko ( Ukrainian Євген Напненко ; born May 27, 1988 in Kiev , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with Narmanspor Külübü in the Turkish ice hockey league since 2017 .
Career
Club
Yevhen Napnenko began his career as a hockey player in his hometown of Kiev , where he was active in the Ukrainian second division with Politechnika Kiev . In 2005 he moved to HK Sokil Kiev , for whom he was on the ice until 2009 not only in the first Ukrainian league, but also in Belarus (both in the extra league and in the Vysschaya league ). In 2008 and 2009 he was Ukrainian national champion with Sokil's second team . After the second championship title he was looking for a new challenge in the Latvian league at DHK Latgale . In 2010, however, he returned to his hometown and stood for a season at HK Kompanjon-Naftohas Kiev between the posts. From there he moved to the east of Ukraine to HK Donbass Donetsk , with whose second team he was able to win the title in Ukraine again in 2012 and 2013. After playing Bila Zerkwa for HK Bilyj Bars in the 2013/14 season , he moved to Naprzód Janów in the Polish Ekstraliga for a year . In 2015 he returned to HK Donbass Donetsk and was again Ukrainian champion with him in 2016. He then joined HK Vytjas Kharkiv , which he left again at the turn of the year 2016/17 for HK Generals Kiev . In the summer of 2017 he joined the Turkish first division club Narmanspor Külübü .
International
In the junior division Napnenko was at the U-18 World Cup in 2006 and the U-20 World Cup in 2006 , 2007 and 2008 in goal. He also played with the Ukrainian student selection at the 2013 Winter Universiade in Trentino, Italy .
For the men's team , Napnenko took part in the qualifying tournaments for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi for the first time. While he was still able to win the first qualifying round with the Ukrainian team in November 2012 in Kiev , the Blue-Yellows had to recognize the superiority of the competition in the second round in February 2013 and were eliminated without winning a point. He then took part in the B group tournament of Division I of the 2013 World Cup and rose with his team to Group A. There he was part of the squad at the 2015 World Cup , but was not used.
