Jill Jamie Roord (born April 22, 1997 in Oldenzaal ) is a Dutch national soccer player . She has been playing in England for Arsenal Women FC since 2019 and for the Netherlands since 2015 .
Career
societies
Roord started playing football at Quick '20 in her birthplace in the province of Overijssel and was signed by the Dutch first division club FC Twente Enschede for the 2012/13 season . First she played for one season in the B junior team and moved up to the first women's team for the 2013/14 season, for which she played 27 out of 30 league games in the newly founded BeNe League in her premier season in the senior division . She made her debut on August 30, 2013 (1st matchday) in a 7-1 win in the away game against the team from Oud-Heverlee . She scored her first point goal on November 15, 2013 (11th matchday) in a 7-0 win in the home game against Royal Antwerp with the goal to make it 6-0 in the 70th minute.
At the end of the 2013/14 season, her team won the championship for the second time after 2012/13; for her it was in the first title and with thirteen goals she was the third best goalscorer of the Enscheder championship team. After her team had to leave the championship to Standard Fémina in second place , she and her team won it again at the end of the 2015/16 season and was the top scorer in the women's Eredivisie, in which they now played, with 21 goals.
For the 2017/18 season she was signed by FC Bayern Munich , who provided her with a contract valid until June 30, 2019. She made her debut on September 2, 2017 (1st matchday) in a 3-0 win in the away game against SGS Essen from the start with a substitution for Lucie Voňková in the 79th minute. She scored her first Bundesliga goal on October 15, 2017 (5th match day) in a 2-0 win in the home game against SC Sand with the goal of the final score in the 90th minute. For the 2019/20 season she was signed by the English first division club Arsenal Ladies FC .
National team
Roord went through the junior national teams of the Netherlands in the age groups U-17 and U-19 and was appointed to the squad of the senior national team for the first time in October 2014 . She made her debut on February 7, 2015 in Almelo in a 7-0 win in the test international against the Thai national team . She scored her first two international goals on May 20, 2015 in Rotterdam in a 7-0 win against the Estonian national team with a 1-0 goal in the twelfth minute.
In the 2017 European Championship victory , she was only substituted three times in the final minutes and came in for a total of ten minutes. In the subsequent qualification for the 2019 World Cup , she was used in ten games, but came on eight times. On April 10, 2019, she was nominated for the World Cup . There she was used in all seven games of the Dutch women, but was always substituted on. In the first group game against New Zealand , she scored the only goal of the game in the second minute of stoppage time. In the end, she and her team were only defeated by defending champions USA in the final .
