Johannes Lamside (* in Lübeck ; † June 28, 1460 in Greifswald ) was a German Roman Catholic theologian and master of the arts .

Life

Johannes Lamside was matriculated at the University of Rostock in 1432 . There he acquired the degree of a baccalaureus artium in 1434 , and in 1438 in exile at the University of Greifswald a Magister Artium . After the end of his exile, he did not return to Rostock , but switched to the University of Erfurt . There he was a member of the concilium facultatis in 1453 and quodlibetarius in 1455 .

In 1456 he took part in the founding ceremony of the University of Greifswald , but his function has not been passed down. He became a teacher at the Greifswald artist faculty , but appeared in the autumn of the same year as dean of the artists in Erfurt. He then took over the position of cantor in St. Nikolai Cathedral in Greifswald. In 1457 he was elected primus scholasticus at the cathedral and as the successor to Heinrich Bukow the third rector of the University of Greifswald. However, he was never a rector elector. He worked closely with Heinrich Rubenow and is shown on the Rubenow plaque in Greifswald Cathedral with the other professors Bernhard Bodeker , Wilken Bolen , Bertold Segeberg , Johannis Tidemann and Nicolaus Theodorici de Amsterdam .

In 1458 he held a “ disputatio de quolibet” for more than 14 days in Greifswald . In 1460 he was dean of the Greifswald artists. When he died in the same year, he was buried in St. Nikolai Cathedral.
