John Schuck (* 4 February 1940 in Boston , Massachusetts , actually Conrad John Schuck ) is an American theater -, film - and TV - actor . His father, Conrad John Schuck, was a professor of English at the State University of New York in Buffalo .

life and career

Schuck, born in Boston in 1940, played in various theaters, including the Cleveland Playhouse and Baltimore's Centerstage, and in various television series (for example, Smoking Colts , Bonanza or Cobra, take over ) before he was discovered for the first film role. Robert Altman filled with him the role of dentist Cpt. Walter Waldowski in the movie MASH (1970).

Other cinema and TV productions followed, in which John Schuck mostly only got small roles or guest roles. In 1988 he was given a leading role in the Munster television series as Hermann Munster.

From 1976 to 1983 Schuck was married to Susan Bay, who married Leonard Nimoy ( Spock ) after the divorce . Schuck then married the painter Harrison Houle . From his first marriage, John Schuck has a son.
