JokA (born September 5, 1985 in Bremen , real name Jochen Burchard ) is a German rapper from Bremen-Findorff . He was under contract with the Berlin label I Luv Money Records for a long time , but switched to the distri label in 2015 .
biography
JokA grew up with his two sisters with his parents in Bremen-Findorff. He first came into contact with hip-hop at the age of 10 in a youth center . He started freestyle on jams . Together with his freestyle partner Friday, he quickly made a name for himself in the Bremen hip-hop scene . In 2000, at the age of 15, JokA met rapper Baba Saad . Together they recorded some songs, which encouraged JokA to write their own songs. He recorded this in the B4K studio in Bremen. In 2005 he released the solo EP Sturzflug as a free download . One year later, JokA made himself known through the song Um Uns on Saad's debut album Das Leben ist Saad , which was very well received within the scene.
A short time later, JokA signed a contract with King Orgasmus One's Berlin label I Luv Money Records . After successfully passing the Abitur exam in 2006, JokA also gained experience on stage as Silla's back-up rapper . He also published some free tracks on the Internet. During this period he began working on his debut album. It was finally released on June 27, 2008 and was called Brainwashing . It included guest contributions from Eko Fresh , Silla, Bass Sultan Hengzt , Essez and King Orgasmus One. Then JokA could be heard on some of the sound carriers of other artists. He was represented on Saadcore by Saad, only child by MontanaMax , Payday by Bass Sultan Hengzt and the samplers Orgi Pörnchen 4 and Orgi Pörnchen 5 by King Orgasmus One.
On October 8, 2010 JokA released his second solo album JokAmusic . Guest contributions from Saad, Chakuza , Farid Bang , King Orgasmus One , Summer Cem , Silla, MoTrip , Nazar and Raf Camora could be heard. In addition, three videos appeared for the songs Immer then , Feuer und Hart drauf .
JokA's third studio album Augenzeuge was released on September 4, 2015 via his new label home distri . Videos for the title song Eyewitness , Moin Moin and Polaroid were published in advance . With the album JokA reached number 22 in the German charts, which is the first chart position for him.
