Jonas Sippel
Jonas Sippel (born April 27, 1994 in Munich ) is a German actor .
Sippel was born with Down syndrome . He grew up with his parents and his older brother in Rangsdorf in the Teltow-Fläming district in Brandenburg in a house in the country.
He made his first acting attempts in elementary school in religious education , where he a. a. played the biblical King Solomon and also a whip driver from the Book of Exodus . As a teenager he did two school and theater internships, the first in 2009, where he was discovered by the Berlin director Gisela Höhne , and thus came to the theater as an actor. Since 2012 he has been part of the ensemble of the integrative theater "RambaZamba" in the Kulturbrauerei in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg . There he played several leading roles, including a. Neoptolemus, the son of Achilles in Philoctetes and the Clov in Samuel Beckett's play Endspiel . In the 2017/18 season he will take on Karl Moor in Schiller's play Die Räuber , a.o. at the RambaZamba theater . a. with the Berlin actress Almut Zilcher from the Deutsches Theater as a partner. In November 2017 he plays in a solo version of Hebbel's Die Nibelungen .
In the movie 24 Weeks (2016) by director Anne Zohra Berrached , which premiered as the only German contribution at the 66th Berlin International Film Festival , Sippel played a supporting role as the leader of a group of disabled people. In an interview with the German edition of Vice magazine , he said when asked about the subject of abortion after embryopathic indication : “Good people love children, regardless of whether they have trisomy 21 or are normal. If you let a child with Down syndrome have an abortion, I am frankly saying that, then you are bad people. "
In September 2017 Sippel, u. a. with Ulrike Kriener , Sonja Kirchberger , Shenja Lacher and Karolina Horster as partners, to be seen in the ZDF crime series Kommissarin Lucas in a leading role. He played the young Theo Pröll, who is suspected of murder when a woman who was a guest at his brother's motel is killed and burned to death in a car in a forest under mysterious circumstances.
His areas of interest include martial arts , crime series (including TKKG and The Three ??? ), archeology and Greek mythology . Sippel now lives in a partially supervised shared apartment in Berlin.
