José Antonio Fernández Hurtado

José Antonio Fernández Hurtado (born December 2, 1952 in Morelia , Mexico ) is a Mexican clergyman and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Tlalnepantla .

Life

José Antonio Fernández Hurtado received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Tula on October 14, 1978 .

On 11 February 2005 appointed him Pope John Paul II. The bishop of Tuxtepec . The Bishop of Tula, Octavio Villegas Aguilar , donated him episcopal ordination on May 11th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Antequera , José Luis Chávez Botello , and the Archbishop Emeritus of Durango , José Trinidad Medel Pérez .

Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Durango on September 26, 2014. The inauguration took place on November 21 of the same year.

On January 25, 2019, Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Tlalnepantla. The inauguration took place on March 18 of the same year.
