Joseph Marie Ndi-Okalla

Joseph Marie Ndi-Okalla (born November 21, 1957 in Douala , Cameroon ) is a Cameroonian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Mbalmayo .

Life

Joseph Marie Ndi-Okalla studied philosophy and Catholic theology at the seminary in Nkolbison and at the Séminaire des Carmes of the Institut Catholique de Paris . He received on 13 August in 1983 by the bishop of Mbalmayo, Paul Etoga , the sacrament of Holy Orders .

Subsequently, Ndi-Okalla studied history and civilization at the University of Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV) and at the Institut Catholique de Paris, where he obtained a master's degree in Biblical theology in 1984 . 1987 Joseph Marie Ndi-Okalla was at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University of Bonn for a doctor of theology in trade dogma doctorate . He also studied missiology at the Philosophical-Theological University SVD St. Augustin . Then Ndi-Okalla worked as a parish vicar in the parish of St. Germain-des-Prés . In 2007 Joseph Marie Ndi-Okalla was visiting professor at the University of Vienna . From 2008 to 2011 he was the study coordinator at the seminary in Yaoundé . In 2011 Ndi-Okalla became Vice Rector of the Université Catholique d'Afrique Centrale in Yaoundé and Secretary of the Commission for the Doctrine of the Faith of the Episcopal Conference of Cameroon.

On December 27, 2016, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Mbalmayo. The Apostolic Nuncio in Cameroon, Archbishop Piero Pioppo , donated him episcopal ordination on February 28 of the following year . Co- consecrators were his predecessor Adalbert Ndzana and Jean-Marc Aveline , auxiliary bishop in Marseille .
