Karl Julius Adolf von Bültzingslöwen (born February 1, 1804 in Liegnitz , † April 12, 1886 in Wiesbaden ) was a Prussian major general and commander of the Wesel fortress .

Julius was a son of the Prussian major and lord of Haynrode Karl von Bültzingslöwen (1764-1824) and his second wife Wilhelmine, née Müller (1769-1831).

Career

Bültzingslöwen attended the Knight Academy in Liegnitz from 1814 to 1820 , but had an apartment in the city. After graduating, he joined the 5th Artillery Brigade of the Prussian Army as a gunner on July 10, 1820 . For further training, he graduated from the United Artillery and Engineering School in 1822/24 and advanced to secondary lieutenant at the end of October 1826 . From 1831 to 1841 Bültzingslöwen was adjutant of the I. Department and in the meantime rose to prime lieutenant . On March 14, 1846 he was promoted to captain and on May 27, 1852 appointed artillery officer from the square in Glogau . Under position à la suite of the 5th Artillery Regiment, on November 20, 1856, when he was promoted to major, he was appointed commander of the train of the 5th Army Corps . On January 11, 1859, he was awarded the Order of the Red Eagle, IV class, and on October 18, 1861, he was promoted to lieutenant colonel. On March 17, 1864 Bultzingslowen received the character as a colonel , and on June 2, 1863 he was awarded the patent appointed his rank and position à la suite of his regiment commander of the fortress of Wesel. He received the character of major general on December 31, 1866 and was put up for disposition on March 14, 1868 with the award of the Order of the Crown, 2nd class with a pension . He died on April 12, 1886 in Wiesbaden.

He married Henriette Rudolph (1812–1887) in Breslau on January 10, 1834 . The daughters Marie Wilhelmine Agnes (* 1835) and Anna Karoline Hermine (1836-1856) emerged from the marriage.
