Yuri Georgievich Tjurin ( Russian Юрий Георгиевич Тюрин ; born July 31, 1948 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ; † November 18, 2017 ) was a Soviet ice hockey player .
Career
Tyurin began his career in 1968 with Krylya Sowetow Moscow and completed a total of 390 games in the top division of the Soviet Union, in which he scored 44 goals. Between 1970 and 1972 he played for SKA MWO Kalinin before returning to Krylja. He won the Soviet championship in 1974 , followed by the runner-up in 1975. He also won the European Cup with Krylja in 1975 .
Between 1980 and 1983, the defender made his career at Torpedo Tolyatti finish, with 1982 the rise from the third-rate Wtoraja League in the Pervaya Liga managed.
International
In 1967 he took part with the Soviet U19 national team in an international tournament, which is considered the unofficial first junior European championship. In 1974 he was in the 1974 Summit Series against Canada for the Sbornaja on the ice. For the national team, he played eight games at the 1975 Ice Hockey World Championship , scored two goals and won the gold medal with his team.
