Origin and meaning
It is unclear whether the name is a form of the Hebrew name Judith or, in Old Norse, that means from the tribe of the Jutes .
The name is mentioned in the Bible in the Hebrew Scriptures. Jụtta probably means “stretched out place” or “stretched out place”. - Jutta is said to be a place in the mountainous region of Judah that was given to the “sons of Aaron” as a priestly city. - Joshua 15:20, 48, 55; Joshua 21:13, 16. Jutta is identified with today's Jatta , which is located on a ridge about 10 km south of Hebron .
