Kämmerzell-Hersfelder Fuldatal

The Kämmerzell-Hersfelder Fuldatal is a valley basin and at the same time a natural area (355.2) between Knüll (northwest) and Rhön (southeast) in the Fulda-Haune-Tafelland (main unit 355) in East Hesse , Germany , which runs the Fulda between the northern districts of Fulda and Bad Hersfeld accompanied. It is made up of the Hersfeld depression at the mouths of Geisbach , Haune and Solz in the north and the Kämmerzell-Asbacher Fulda valley in the south.

In addition to Bad Hersfeld, its namesake are its southern district Asbach and Fulda’s northern district Kämmerzell .

Location and limits

The extreme south of the Kämmerzell-Asbacher Fuldatal lies in the district of Fulda , the larger central part in the Vogelsberg district and the north, as well as completely the adjoining Hersfeld valley , in the district of Hersfeld-Rotenburg .

The Kämmerzell-Hersfelder Fuldatal borders in the north on the Bebra-Melsunger Fuldatal (357.1), Fulda-Werra-Bergland (main unit 357), in the east on the Haune plateaus (355.3), in the south on the Fulda basin (352.1), Fuldaer Senke ( Main unit 352); in the south west to the Schlitzer Land (355.1), in the mid west to the Ottrauer Bergland (355.0) and in the north west to the Kirchheimer Bergland (355.4).
