occupation

Kätchen für alles is a German film fun game from 1949 by Akos von Rathony , whose first German film this was. The title role of the underrated acting level is played by Hannelore Schroth , the verbal ruffian and Kätchen's later jack of hearts is played by old star Willy Fritsch , who is well versed in charmer and grandeur roles .

action

Kätchen is a young woman who absolutely wants to go to the stage, because that is her whole purpose in life. But the theater student fails the entrance exam. As if that weren't bad enough, her famous acting colleague Georg Vorster simply calls her “a tramp”. This annoys Katchen so much that she really wants to show the blasé star once: she sneaks into Vorster's house unrecognized and shows him, as a proof of her artistic ability, how to embody a real “trample”. Kätchen causes quite a few entanglements, because it is not just a trample: Unrecognized, she also plays other female roles: from the maid to the abused wife and loving mother to the seductive vamp. Georg Vorster has to realize that he was wrong in his assessment of the young Katchen and that he even lost his heart to the young colleague.

Production notes

Kätchen für alles , later also listed under Kätchen cleans up , was created in the real film studios of Hamburg-Wandsbek with exterior shots from Hamburg. The premiere took place on October 18, 1949 in Düsseldorf, in Berlin the strip was shown for the first time in the west of the city on February 10, 1950 and in the east on April 7, 1950.

Co-producer Gyula Trebitsch also acted as production manager. Mathias Matthies designed the film structures. Trebitsch's wife Erna Sander designed the costumes, assisted by Irms Pauli .

This production was a so-called exchange film West Germany / Central Germany.

criticism

"The thin comedy is only really enjoyable thanks to Hannelore Schroth's comedic parforce tour."
