Despite his winning goal in the test against Borussia Dortmund II , Tatara was initially not signed, instead he came to the Polish third division club Chojniczanka Chojnice , where he scored 4 goals in 24 games.

At the beginning of the 2012/13 season Tatara was again in trial training with third division club SV Darmstadt 98 and was finally committed on August 2, 2012. Already on August 3, 2012, Tatara played his first game in German professional football with a substitution in the 67th minute in the game against Preußen Münster (2-1) and prepared the 2-0 for Andreas Gaebler . He scored his first goal for Darmstadt on August 26, 2012 in the home game against Hansa Rostock (1-1).

In the summer of 2013 he returned to his native Poland and joined second division Ząbkovia Ząbki . The 2014/15 season he played for Legionovia Legionowo in the third division and then ended his career.
