Kall is a village in the municipality of Åre in the Swedish province of Jämtlands län . A total of 107 inhabitants (2015) live on an area of 73 hectares.
Kall is located on the eastern shore of Lake Kallsjön around 23 kilometers northwest of Järpen , the capital of the municipality of Åre. Åreskutan rises up on the opposite bank of Kallsjön . Kall is located at Länsväg 336 from Järpen to the Norwegian border.
Infrastructure
In Kall there is a ski lift with a 500 meter long slope and groomed trails with lengths between 2.5 and 7.5 kilometers.
Attractions
In Kall there is a church from 1867, which was built by the local farmers themselves. The first church in this place existed as early as the 12th or 13th century. From the parish Kalls socken , the rural community Kalls landskommun emerged in 1863 , which existed until the community reform in the 1970s, when it was absorbed into the municipality of Åre on January 1, 1974.
There is also a "Lanthandelsmuseum" ("lanthandel" is the Swedish name for a small shop, primarily in rural areas).
