Kamenec (German Kamenetz ) is a district of the city of Holice in the Czech Republic . It is located three kilometers north of Holice and belongs to the Okres Pardubice .
geography
The scattered settlement of Kamenec is located above the source of the Poběžovický creek on the Třebechovická tabule ( Hohenbruck table ). The place is located on the southern edge of an extensive forest area. The Kamenec rises to the east (328 m nm).
Neighboring towns are Poběžovice u Holic in the north, Odmezený, Sedadla and Žďár nad Orlicí in the northeast, Koudelka in the east, Veliny and Staré Holice in the southeast, Holice in the south, Podhráz and Horní Ředice in the southwest, Podlesí and Hluboký in the west and Vysoké Chvojno in the north-west .
history
The settlement of Kamenec was established in the middle of the 19th century at the foot of the hill of the same name. The first written mention of the place took place in 1854 as a district of the city of Holice in the judicial district of Holitz . From 1868 the settlement belonged to the political district of Pardubitz . In 1869 Kamenec had 95 inhabitants and consisted of 19 houses. In 1900 there were 111 people living in Kamenec, in 1910 there were 125. In 1930 the village had 110 inhabitants. In 1949 Kamenec was assigned to the Okres Holice, since 1960 the place has belonged again to the Okres Pardubice . In the 2001 census, 48 people lived in Kamenec's 24 houses.

The district of Kamenec forms together with Podlesí the basic settlement unit Podlesí-Kamenec.
Kamenec is part of the cadastral district of Holice v Čechách.
