The canton Lorgues was 2015 a French constituency in Arrondissement of Draguignan , in Var department and in the region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur ; its main town was Lorgues . Barthélemy Mariani ( PS ) was the last representative in the General Council of the Département from 1998 to 2015 .
The canton Lorgues was 173.47 km² and had (1999) 15,805 inhabitants, which corresponded to a population density of 91 inhabitants per km². It was on average 155 meters above sea level , between 16 meters in Les Arcs and 444 meters in Le Thoronet .
